Welcome the 5 Elements into your life this Fall, II
πΏππΏ
First, enjoy an ancient Chinese poet speak on cherishing the season of Fall, before learning more about the significance behind it.

Song of Autumn
Since olden days we feel sad and drear in autumn,
But I say spring cannot compete with autumn.
On a fine day a crane cleaves the clouds and soars high;
It leads the poetβs lofty mind to the azure sky.

The ancient Chinese poet acknowledges the sky, which is air.
Interestingly, ancient Chinese wisdom holds that air is not in one of the 5 elements, but in all.
Air can be found in an igniting fire, oxygen in water, wood's reason to being, the earth and metal-all being dependent upon each other to exist.
And each element is very unique, and can bring wellness into one's life more peace and harmony. You can read last year's blog on that here, specifically to making one's bathroom a beautiful retreat with all the elements. π―
Notice how all the 5 elements of fire, water, wood, earth, and metal can improve the quality of your Fall season welbeing by adding these touches to your life.
"Water soaks and descends. Fire blazes and ascends. Wood bends and straightens. Metal holds its shape and is malleable. Earth takes seeds and give crops."
Understanding of the 5 elements from Sun Tzu's The Art of War.

5 Ways to De-stress with the Elements this Fall
1. Fire - η« π―
Candles-a beautiful addition to any home life. As temperatures drop and there is less sunlight around, it's a great season to use candlelight more often.
β¨
2. Water - ζ°΄ π§
Tea-this is the season to drink chai tea, especially one that is made by herbalists. Have you tried a nettle chai before? If you are interested, reach out via Instagram and send me a DM. This chai will be featured in a retreat center here on the island in the near future. π«π€π΅
β¨

3. Wood - ζ¨ π²
Walk-in the woods, alone or with good company, is sometimes all we need to have a chance to clear our heads from the busy modern world.
β¨
4. Earth - ε π
Salt-bring some healing minerals into your bath life. This will keep you feeling relaxed and detoxified (an ancient beauty secret).
β¨
5. Metal - ι πΌ
Autumn is related to the metal element.
Music-listen to some uplifting sounds (<-- check out upcoming Chamber music by Shen Yun Musicians, based in NYC), like classical, to help embrace the change of the season.
