Appreciating beauty is an art, and vice versa; art is beauty.
The beauty emanating from diverse art forms, including fine craftsmanship that is found in all aspects of life; from skincare, architecture, dress and dance-make us feel and do better in life.
And reminds us. To stay civilized. To stay humane. To stay humble. To stay grateful. To aspire to. Something greater than ourselves.
Bringing hope at its highest level.
And that is why: "Art at its highest should give people hope", as Shen Yun Dancer, Carol Huang, quotes on an Instagram post.
When we appreciate beauty, we choose ways to support art forms in our life that uplift and inspire ourselves and one another.
Take a Shen Yun dancer as an example. Witnessing their straight posture can result in you straightening your own posture. How dancers carry themselves is an art form of beauty that motivates a better way of being. Our environment does influence us to some degree. Nature vs nurture. Appreciating art in all types of creative expressions has similar effects upon our psyches.
I chose Shen Yun dancers as an example of appreciating beauty and wellness, as I have seen the show quite a few times in various theatres in North America with family and friends. Always after seeing a Shen Yun performance, I feel nurtured with a sense of hope and inspiration for life and people. This is what is needed right now in the dark times of our world.
As an aside, here is short video for those who want to straighten their posture, as instructed by a Shen Yun dancer.

Take Pause with Harp Music ๐ฟ โจ ๐ฟ โจ๐ฟ โจ ๐ฟ โจ๐ฟ โจ ๐ฟ
Appreciating the beauty of diverse art forms reminds us to take pause and take time, to experience the wonder in life.
This journey of knowing how to appreciate various arts has lasted the ages and still continues today, shining light on what is possible. Like music.
GangJing World Blogger, Becky, and her harp music is an example of this (she also has a lovely video on rosehips there).
